Change can be good, for multiple reasons but the biggest change is when you change your life for the better. Michele Opel did just that, her journey of weightless, determination, and battle with addiction is inspiring. During her college days, she was overweight and fell into addiction to alcohol. She has suffered childhood trauma, overweight issues, which led up to alcohol addiction. The alcohol added on to the weight and she was in a cycle she could not break out of. Many people suffer with being overweight, alcoholism, and depression, for Michelle this was a tough journey, with many obstacles and tragedies which she overcame with her own will, faith, and charisma.

In 2012, a great tragedy had occurred in her life which was also the catalyst that sparked her change in lifestyle. Her mother passed away which was a low blow and an unfortunate loss to have had at the time. On December 30th, 2012, Michele decided to change her life. “I have now been sober since December 30th, 2012 no alcohol and free from that, I also started my health journey around the same time”. For Michele this was the start of the time that turned her life around. Attending nutrition school, becoming certified health coach, and finding God gave her balance, stability, and meaning in life.

During the process of changing her life, Michele found God. Her faith has played a part with her transformation, her belief in Christ helped her reach gratitude and practice meditation. Her practice of faith and self-care has led her to publish a book called the “10 Day Christ Centered Detox”, available on Amazon.com, it is a self-help book which will help balance out your life.
